Skoda India recently launched its compact D segment crossover type Ambiente model SUV vehicle in Indian market named 'Yeti' and the all new 2011 Skoad Yeti will comes available in two variants - Ambiente and Elegance. The price of Skoda Yeti is around Rs. 15.40 lakhs for the Yeti Ambiente and Rs. 16.62 lakhs for the Yeti Elegance model.
Skoda Yeti is powered by a 4 cylinder 1968cc TDi Diesel engine that produces a power of 140 Bhp @ 4200 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm @ 1750 rpm. Coming to the performance review, this latest Skoda Yeti SUV model has a top-speed of 190KMph and offers a mileage of 17.00 kmpl in highways and 13.00 kmpl in city. Skoda Yeti features a 6 speed manual gear transmission.

Skoda Yeti in India - Specifications, Reviews and Prices

Skoda, an automobile manufacturer from Czech republic, also a subsidiary unit of the world famous brand, Volkswagen group is now all set to launch it's new Crossover model, Skoda Yeti in the ever growing D segment of the Indian automobile field. This is the first ever Crossover model by Skoda in the Indian market and it will be available mainly in two variants, Skoda Yeti Elegance and Skoda Yeti Ambiente.
It should be noted that the main difference between the two variants of Skoda Yeti, elegance and ambiente is that Elegance has 6 airbags in comparison to 2 in ambiente variant and it has 12 speakers with music system in comparison to 8 in ambiente variant. This new Skoda Yeti features a Six Speed Manual Transmission and also comes with a suspension of McPherson Suspension, Multi-element Axle and a tyre size of 215/60 R16.

Skoda Celebrates IRC Title with Fabia RS Edition S2000
In celebration of the International Rally Championship (IRC) title won by its Fabia S2000, Skoda has rolled out a limited-run edition version of its road-going Fabia RS hot hatch dressed in the firm's racing colors. All 200 examples of the car will be painted in a Rally Green finish with a white roof, white alloy wheels and stickers from the rally-spec S2000 model.There are no other changes over the stock model, which was presented for the first time at this year's Geneva International Motor Show. As a result, the limited edition Fabia RS gets the same 1.4-liter twin-charged petrol engine with 180-horsepower and a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission with paddle-shifters transferring power to the front wheels.
Since changing colors has no affect on performance, the Edition S2000 is as fast as the normal Fabia RS reaching the 100km/h mark in 7.3 seconds while topping out at 225km/h or 140mph.The VW Group owned maker has not yet released pricing for the Fabia RS Edition S2000.

New Cars - Skoda reveals new Octavia vRS & Scout
Following the launch of the new Octavia late last year, the vRS and Scout have now also been updated to bring them into line with the current range and family face of Škoda.
The facelifted vRS has a redesigned front grille featuring the vRS logo and bold headlamps, which for the first time can be fitted with xenon headlights combined with the adaptive front lighting system.
The car has two more completely new features: front fog lamps with optional cornering function and LED lamps for daytime lighting. The rear lights have also been redesigned to look more attractive and new 18-inch Neptune alloy wheels are available.
Other changes to the vRS include a new metallic paint, Anthracite, and a lowered (now 127mm) sports-tuned chassis. The car is also lighter – the petrol version by 20kg and the diesel by 15kg. With reduced air resistance the maximum speed of the vRS is now higher and the car’s responsiveness and acceleration have also been improved.
The vRS is available with a choice of two powerplants, a 2.0-litre TFSI 150kW (petrol) or a 2.0-litre TDI 126kW (diesel) engine both of which are available with a six-speed manual twin-clutch DSG transmission.
The new Scout has a redesigned front grille, bold headlamps and body-coloured side mouldings. The front fog lights can be fitted with the optional cornering function and the large front bumper emphasises the car’s rugged appearance. A new metallic paint, Rosso Brunello, is also available across the Octavia range.
With 179mm ground clearance and efficient chassis protection, the Octavia Scout can also handle itself off-road. The all-wheel drive system features the fourth-generation Haldex clutch, which can transfer as much as 86 per cent of the torque to a single wheel.
The Scout is available with two engine choice, a 1.8-litre TSI 119kW (petrol) and 2.0-litre TDI 104kW (diesel) combined with a six-speed mechanical transmission.

Skoda Octavia RS 2010
